We call for papers to the fifth annual Nordic Summer Institute in Labor Economics in Reykjavik June 14-15, 2010.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for the best labor scholars in the Nordic countries to get together and to discuss their work. The meeting will contain both contributed and invited papers. The keynote speaker is Professor Philip Oreopoulos, University of Toronto.

Objective
The challenges to the Nordic welfare states provide the background setting for the current research program. The overall objective is to contribute to a better understanding of the functioning of central aspects of the Nordic model and their effects on the labor market. The research program focuses on three main areas of interest: Social Insurance, Education and Structural Change.

The network consists of four research teams:.
Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University
Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration and University of Bergen.
Åbo Akademi University.
Uppsala University and Institute for Labour Market Policy Evaluation.
